LaThebaudiere is situated in the area of Orne in Normandy. Close to The medieval Town of Domfront.
Situated in the southern part of the national park. It is  set in beautiful Normandy countryside surrounded by small dairy farms.

LaThebaudiere was originally a thriving farming hamlet set in 3 acres of land in the heart of the Cider and Poire growing region of Orne. The original owner was a wealthy Parisian  who lived and farmed the cider region dating back to the 1600. Situated some 300 meters from the La Verenne river and set in the national park.

Each house over the last 400 years has been occupied and used by different people and animals alike and each house holds its own unique character.

The village is set between Torchamp and Ceauce with Ceauce been the closest for all amenities such as banks, bakers, bars, butchers etc. Ceauce is a traditional French town and has a regular market and community. Christmas is especially super when the whole town is decorated with Christmas lights.

The fortified town of Domfront dating back to the 1100 and founded by William the conquerer formally William of Normandy is 7 klm away and has all the larger supermarkets, banks and a number of excellent restaurants. The town works hard to promote French culture. Domfront prides itself on its arts and music festivals held during the summer.

The village is well placed for Lavel, Mayenne, Saint Mont Michel, Caen and Fler. Paris is 3 hours drive and 2 hours on the train from Fler.

The village is situated off the D262. You travel between a farm and then the road splits. You come through a cider meadow with a valley on your left. In front of you,  you will see a large walnut tree having stood there for some 500 years. On your right you will see the lake.
